What started with an idea and a handful of dedicated locals nearly 30 years ago has, over time, grown into the largest club in Kevelaer. Countless Saturdays, many (very many!) paper membership cards and countless hours of voluntary work have kept the outdoor pool running and made it what it is today!
After 30 years of ‘manual administration’, it’s time for us to enter the digital age too! Every innovation brings change with it.
This year will be the last time you can sign up for membership in person at the outdoor pool. Our volunteers will be on hand to help with this. Operating and maintaining the outdoor pool costs a lot of money. Every euro donated therefore goes towards maintaining the Kevelaer outdoor pool. Even if you are not a member, you can still support our work and thus the outdoor pool. The Bäderverein Kevelaer e.V. is a registered non-profit association. You will of course receive a donation receipt from us upon request.
We use the donations for maintenance measures and investments in the outdoor pool. Every little donation helps us.

Last week, eight new trees were planted at the outdoor pool by the Kevelaer municipal maintenance department, including mulberry, field maple, leatherleaf, and ironwood trees. Poolgoers are delighted with the new trees: there’s no better way to enjoy the sunbathing lawn than in the shade of a large tree. However, trees not only provide shade but also naturally cool the surrounding area with the moisture in their leaves. In addition, they filter dust from the air.
Thanks to numerous donations, the Swimming Pool Association was able to cover the cost of the new trees. Thank you very much!
